Painting is my first love. I've spent a bit of time with acrylic, oil, and resin. At first I would only paint in oil, or only paint in acrylic, but I love mixed media and throwing a bunch of stuff in. Marker, collage, whatever. Painting is my base, my foundation. And then I add the world to it.

PORN FLOWERS
Porn magazine collage paintings, with resin finish. The message is that "All women are flowers". I see it as a good omen against adversity because I'm reminded of all the adversity I've handled already. The flowers are personified and capture the struggle of the human spirit in that weary moment right before a significant breakthrough.

| ON PAPER |

|
I love paper and I hate paper at the same time. I love paper because I love watching the "colored water" sink into the fibers. And how the sun reflects in the colored water puddle on a good day. Watching it is meditative.
I hate paper because its preservation is so fragile, that I feel guilty, and at fault, when I mess it up accidentally (it rips, bends, creases, whatever). I then feel like I've scarred it. :)
Paper is the delicacy, the very soft, fragility of our own tenderness. I find a different part of myself when I explore with paper.

CELLNOIDS
Smaller works on paper, ranging in size between 6" x 9" to 10" x 14".
We are nothing more than just cells floating in space. Inspired by the microcosm/macrocosm theory, it serves as a lesson in humility. "There's always someone/something bigger than you".

NIPPLE SECRET PROJECT
I thought this experiment was whimsical and fun. I am against the idea that "women lose their beauty as they age", so I chose to make fun of it by having various friends and myself represent ourselves through our nipples instead. It's pretty complex, please read about it under "Mantra/Statements".
